The Healing Silks Company is a creative community experience, comprised with individuals of the entrepreneurial spirit. It has come from an idea, into being with the support and kindness of many family and friends. Modeling this construct of beginning with family and friends, moving into community and then globally, is a desire of our philanthropic support. Thus we choose to magnify the adage: “When every One does a little, we All change a lot.”

KIVA MICROFUNDS – is a California non-profit public benefit corporation, serving fledgling and developing entrepreneurs globally. The Healing Silks Company is akin to the ideals and goals of Kiva in assisting in the supply of microfunding to those families with dreams and goals who by financial institutional standards would be too risky. The Healing Silks Company contributes to KIVA assisting a minimum of 11 new family entrepreneurs each month. Upon repayment of such loans the funding is then “paid forward” to the next new enterprising family thus compounding the growth of the entrepreneurial spirit.

SISTERHOOD IN PINK – is an internal fund created by The Healing Silks Company to give back to those in need, providing Love, Hope, and Belief for people facing cancer. Five percent of each “PINK” purchase goes toward sponsorship of men and women who walk the Susan G. Komen for the Cure events as well as other causes for Breast Cancer awareness and cure.

SUSAN G. KOMAN FOR THE CURE – was established in 1982 as a promise by Nancy G. Brinker to her dying sister Susan G. Komen to do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. It receives 85% of the net proceeds from the Breast Cancer 3 day Benefits. Benefits for the Susan G, Komen for the Cure is the world largest breast cancer grass roots network of cancer survivors and activists to save lives, empower people, ensure care for all and energize science to find cures.

NATIONAL PHILANTHRPOIC TRUST BREAST CANCER FUND – receives the remaining 15% of the net proceeds benefits of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The TRUST is an endowment, which will ensure that the cause will, receives long term continuing support.
